Aventura Learning Center is committed to leading in age appropriate project based S.T.E.M. lessons and learning environments. Our unique indoor S.T.E.M.

program was introduced in the Fall of 2014. Aventura Learning Center's project based lessons are focused on providing students with real hands-on experiences thereby supporting their mastery of science, technology, engineering, and math concepts. Our experienced team of teachers encourage children to collaborate, analyze, problem solve and expand computational thinking.

  • Science activities that include the exploration of water and sand, comparing and contrasting natural materials like rocks and soil, rolling balls across the room, and looking through a magnifying glass to speculate insects.

  • Technology enhanced learning, such as the use of laptops or iPads to accelerate the rate students learning capabilities through educational programs, but also identifying simple machines like gears, wheels, and pulley systems.

  • Engineering, where students collaborate with each other to plan and design structures using blocks, pulleys, wood, legos and units of measurement.

  • Math based programs, which are done on paper, in addition to using the laptops and iPads; this would include counting and matching shapes, making patterns, adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and solving problems.

Young children are avid S.T.E.M. investigators, eager to explore and invent. Supporting and guiding this natural desire to explore S.T.E.M. ideas and phenomena can have lasting benefits, from early leadership development to a mature understanding of the world and how everything works. Aventura Learning Center incorporates the S.T.E.M. Program into every curriculum, providing each student with the opportunity to partake in brain-building activities.
